Attended an absolutely amazing wedding recently. Good food, company and beautiful venue (West Tower in Aughton if you're interested).
I made the error of bringing an un-charged camera! Was gutted but it's always such a busy lead up to weekend events isn't it!
So all the photos I got were using my trusty iPhone. I was aiming for a natural(ish) look. And one that I did not have to refresh too much.
- Foundation - Estee Lauder Double Wear in Fresco and Shell Beige mixed
- Blush - Nars Orgasm
- Eyeshadow - Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette in Various
- Eyeliner - Lancome
- Lipstain - Maybelline New York Super Stay 24 Hour Lip Colour in Plum Seduction (which is amazing)
- Highlighter - MAC Cream Colour Base in Shell
- Brows - Benefit Brow Zings
- Mascara - Revlon Fabulash
It was a bit of an action shot - hence the seatbelt!

Hi.
This was me on Saturday night. Gave the Naked 2 Palette a good test and yes, I know I am late on this band wagon, but I bloody love it!
And if you have seen my recent YouTube vid's you will know I am SERIOUSLY into the Revlon Lip Butters. New obsession!
So this was the look I ended up with. Loving the pink lip and pink top combo and I am sorry, but I am seriously loving my necklace also haha!!

Happy Sunday everyone! Last night I went out for dinner and drinks with the boyf. I hit Northern Quarter in Manchester and tried SoLita which was very nice! Yummy food. (I am going to have some serious gym work to do in the new year).
Anyway, after a wash and dry of the hair and trying out some new products (hello new obsession with L'occitane!) this is the look I ended up with and the products I used.
Products I used:-

Oh, and did I mention freckly!!
Had such an amazing holiday lovelies! Was just perfect. Sensatori in Sharm El Sheikh is well worth a visit and you must get a swim up sea view room - instant paradise!
Anyway, on zeee face I kept it very natural and used bare minerals medium beige, mineral veil and warmth, on the eyelids I used an estee lauder shadow in spiced peach and benefit bad lash mascara. On my lips is MAC costa chic (which is the perfect lip colour by the way).
Now it's on to moving! Finally got an apartment in Manchester city centre! Yay!

Ok, so I don't really think I looked as good as the title would suggest but I wanted to play tribute to Kanye and Jay Z by quoting a line from the Watch the Throne album seeing as this is what I wore for the Watch the Throne MEN concert on Tuesday.
It was IMMENSE. I don't know why it surprises me every time I see them how good they are but seriously, at one point me and the boyf were laughing about how crazy ghetto we went and the fact that everyone around us seemed so calm in comparison! haha!
Love that about concerts - I literally don't give a sh*t about what people think I must look like dancing and rapping like a crazy girl.
So so so glad I went - we were up in the nose bleeds in the worst seats I've ever been in during my whole concert going life time and it still didn't matter because it was so good.
Anyway, I am totally rambling! Did anyone else go?? I want to know who my fellow Jay Z and Kanye blogging friends are!!!

So this is my face (obvs!) and this is how I wore it for a meal on Saturday nighty...
- Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer
- MUFE HD Foundation
- Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
- Estee Lauder Matte Bronzer
- Rimmel Sun Shimmer Bronzer
- Estee Lauder e/s Palette - peach, brown and light shimmer shades
- MUA brown eyebrow pencil as eye liner
- Revlon natural false lashes
- Rimmel East End Snob Lip Liner with Lancome Pink Juicy Tube on top.
I also wore this outfit - no, not the dressing gown (which is Dotty P's if you're interested) but the look below - which incidentally won't be new to my oldest followers as you have seen this top on a previous OOTD many moons ago (top from new york boutique, blazer is Jane Norman and my jeans are primark)
What did you do this Saturday?
Anyone else wear false lashes for meals out too or do you think it's a bit OTT?

The term "FOTD" is used loosely here.
The purpose of this post is to demonstrate how some products really can make your skin look fabulous. My hair is scraped back and unstraightened. I have no eye makeup on and haven't even coloured in the eyebrows.
So for me this is really really bare faced. I would never let people normally see me like this!
However, sometimes it's good to come clean and show you things like how straight my eyelashes really are!
So here goes...

I used:-
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Laura Mercier Under Eye Concealer
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat
Lily Lolo Flawless Silk
What I like about this picture is that my skin looks smooth and healthy. The dewy(ish) finish really is down to Lily Lolo - I swear by Flawless Silk for making my skin look pretty.
I would never leave the house like this and this is the look I ended up with:-

Whilst I was happy with my makeup that day (lippie was applied later) what really struck me was that the bronzer and blush seemed to make my skin look duller. I always tend to use darker bronzers and blushers on my face because basically I believed you skin looked "dead" (as I MUA once described my sisters skin as because she didn't have enough blusher on - cheeky c"w) but I am really going to focus on using lighter blushers for a while to see if the above look can be kept.
What do you think ladies - have you found this at all? Any tips for flawless skin? Or pretty blush colours?

Hey lovelies!!
How are you? Hope you are side-stepping the depression that often ensues with this time of year!
As many of you will know - it has been ages since I have done a FOTD post. I used to do them quite a lot and really enjoy them, but these days I never have the time (poor me!). So I thought I would try and get back into the swing of things with a simple natural FOTD picture to start 2012.
I don't know about you but I find it really funny when I do these to look back on previous pictures and think about how much I have changed (or not changed), how I wear my hair, or how tired I look!! haha.
Anyway, here's the picture for your perusal ...
Definitely very on the simple side eh! It was actually a little more made up than this, but you know what these cameras are like! Desperately want a new one but no money!
I used:-
Mac Studio Fix Fluid Foundation in NC30 and Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Fresco
NARS Orgasm Blush
NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine and MAC Lipstick in Hue
Costal Scents Warm Palette various Eyeshadows for eyes and eyebrows.
Thanks for looking ladies! Do any of you do FOTD posts? If so, send me your links - I would love to look!!! xxx

Before
After
So this week has been pretty high pressure so I was excited to go out to a party on Friday night with the boyf and friends. Getting ready was pretty rushed. Especially because I had to factor in washing my hair, which at the moment I can do nothing with.
I went out looking like the second picture. In a black dress rather than the pink fluffy dressing gown! I don't really know why the "before" picture is necessary but I was messing around on my new MacBook so there it is!
I used:-
- Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Tawny mixed with MAC Pro Longwear Foundation in NC30
- MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder
- Bare Minerals Bronzer in Warmth
- Coastal Scents Blush in Coral and Pink mixed
- Various MUA Heaven and Earth E/S Palette shades with lots of blending
- Revlon Fabulash Mascara
- Kate Moss for Rimmel shade 01 Lipstick mixed with MAC Lipstick in Ravishing
It felt really odd to put all the makeup on as I haven't been out for ages! Also, I attempted to put on false eyelashes (which I used to use ALL the time) but it RUINED my eye makeup on my left eye and I couldn't get it to stick so I had to start all over again! STRESSED!
Can't believe I can't put false eyelashes on again! Anyone else have this problem or just me!? Thankfully I managed to save the look in the end!

I wore:- MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
NYX e/s and Blush from this Makeup Box
MAC lipstick in Ravishing with Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss in Move mixed
Boots Natural False Eyelashes
Sleek Hair Extensions (12 inch)for thickness mostly

Rimmel concealer and highlighter
Bobbi Brown Corrector

MAC Paint Pot - Indian Wood
Sleek Primer Palette light shades under brow
Max Factor Mascara
Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss - Move
Some of you may remember from my IMATs post that I picked up a few makeup boxes from NYX. One of them was the Winter in Moscow Set which includes eyeshadows, blush and lipcolours.
This set, along with the other NYX sets are perfect for travelling with the fab range of colours that are fantastically pigmented and convenient packaging (which includes an essential mirror).
As the weather is warming up, my natural inclination is to move towards bronze toned makeup. However this morning I wanted to have a quick go with some of the colours in this set to see what they would look like on me.
Due to my USELESS camera it was very hard to capture the smokey effect I had managed to create with some of the colours, I still took a few shots for you all to have a peek at though so you get the gist of the looks you can create!

What I would say is that the colours are slightly darker in person and are great for creating that really smokey wide eyed look.
I would definitely recommend this palette - particularly if you are going away and know you want to bring some heavier eyeshadows to create a more dramatic evening look. The set is £19.95 and can be purchased from the NYX website here.

Hey Ladies,
I wanted to create another Valentines possible look for you girlies, whilst also showing you a look from using the NYX Makeup Box Palette only. (Aside from foundation obviously - which was MUFE Face and Body with HD over the top)
So here is the look I created from it...

I thought this look was a pretty one for Valentine's day as its super warming and pretty and romantic. It's an alternative to pinks! (Although I look those too!)
The box looks like what you see below and I used colours on the right - first column 2nd one down and 2nd column 3rd one down.

I also used the bronzer and blush from this set and black to line my eyes. This picture doesn't show to the best extent how pigmented the colours are. I absolutely love this palette because you can create so many looks with it. And it's perfect for looks on the go! It's just less than £20 and can be purchased here. Check out my youtube channel for my video (which at the time of posting has 3 mins left to upload!) on this look to see what they look like in natural light. xxx

So recently I was having a nosey at the beauty trends for 2011 and came across this...
picture from vogue
It made me want to do something bright with my eyes as I often stick to similar colours such as golds and browns because they are safe and easy to use.
So this was the look that I ended up creating using the Sleek Circus Palette. I used the white in the inner corners of my eyes and beneath the brows to the crease of my lid. Then used yellow all over up to the crease and then blended the orange over the top at the outer corners. Finally, along the bottom lashes I used the green.

I actually really like the end result and think with hair down and some false lashes it would be pretty smoking for a night out!!
The other products I used were:-
L'oreal High Definition Smoothing Foundation
Primark Bronzer
Nars Blush - Orgasm
Primark Shimmer Balls
Maybelline Superstay Lip Colour - Coral

As promised - NARS swatches!
Lipstick in Niagara

Pure Matte Lipstick in Bangkok

And Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine

My favourite is the top one - it's pretty red in real life so it's the perfect going out colour. All are pretty moisturising so I don't find that they make my lips dry or that the product goes weird on my lips.
On my cheeks in all pic's I am wearing the Orgasm blush.
And also I am wearing Maybelline Wonder Finish Makeup in 21 Nude as foundation and Illamasqua concealer under the eyes - rediscovered! I will review these pretty soon!

I love days when I can just put the bare minimum makeup on and run out the door. Unfortunately, on the days I need to do this I am always looking tired and therefore feel I need more makeup.
However, here's a weekend FOTD shot from when I didn't have to jump out of bed at 6am and therefore went with a softer makeup look.

I know it's so so basic but sometimes it's nice to go back to natural makeup to just add a little something without it your makeup being the focus of your look. Not all the time. But definitely on "chilled" days.
Don't you agree ladies?
Anyway, I will stop going on and let you know what I used:-
Bare Minerals Foundation
Bare Minerals Warmth
MUA blush
Lily Lolo Flawless Silk
Carmex Lip Balm
Revlon Fabulash Mascara
Lancome Pencil Liner in Black
Thanks for looking *_*
