Hi all!
Late night post for you.
First thing is first. You might have noticed that my blog has changed. It is now called...
I'm sad to see my old name A Beauty Blog written by a Giddy Princess go, but at the same time I feel that the new name is much more suited to me at this point in my life. I don't feel quite as princessy these days!! haha.
That said, I am keeping my username as Giddy Princess as that is how most of you know me. However, for those of you that I haven't met, emailed etc - my real name is Dani.
I hoe you all like my new name and will continue to follow and read my blog. Unfortunately, all my old posts haven't been transferred over to this new name so you will need to access any archived posts from directly from my blog rather than through reader/google etc.
Hope that's not too much of a pain.
Anyway, other news:-
In the meantime, please leave any comments below in relation to things you would like to see on the blog or feedback of any kind!

OK so I know I have been pretty much M.I.A of late. There's been pretty much nothing by way of reviews, hauls, FOTDs, current loves etc etc for quite some time.
I'll be honest, I've not been inspired. When I first started this blog it seemed that in every direction I turned I found inspiration for a post, and then slowly but surely life just seemed to get in the way. Well what I mean to say is work life.
Not that I am complaining. I feel fortunate and thankful for the job I have and though elements of it are extremely challenging I absolutely love it and would definitely follow this path if I had my time all over again.
So needless to harp on about the fact that I have been very busy, working long hours and therefore using any down time I had to either relax or catch up with friends and family. It has therefore felt a little wasteful to spend such precious free time inside on my laptop.
In addition, the lack of inspiration I had in relation to the subject matter of this blog meant that any posts I would have written would have lacked soul. So I think that to be true to myself, and you - the readers, I had to take time out and recuperate as well as decide whether I even wanted to continue with this blog.
I am happy to say that today I finally made that decision and my decision is to continue. I hope that for those of you that have stuck around with me from the start, that you will enjoy reading some of my new posts in the near future. For those of you that have recently joined - welcome. I hope that you will like.
I recognise that this post is not really what you want or expect from my blog and I hope that as a result it does not bore you to tears! I just felt that in order to draw a line under my absence and lack of motivation I needed to express the reason for it.
Having done that I feel excited to start jotting down ideas for reviews and posts over the next few weeks. I have lots in mind (definitely a good sign) however if you have any specific requests let me know in the comment box below!!
Until then keep smiling and enjoying life and remember laughter is the best beauty secret of all ;)

Right you beauties - a couple of things...
Weight loss:
I am pleased to say that I got weighed at Weight Watchers tonight and I have lost 1 lb since Christmas. Very happy seeing as realistically I have being dieting since Tuesday! Very motivated to continue now and almost went for a run (it is however cold, dark and perhaps a little late for that tonight - but exercise will be something I begin again soon!)
Amazing TRESemme Giveaway:
The winner will hopefully be announced this weekend! There were so many entries it is going to take me a while to collate all this info! As soon as I have done the draw I will pop the winner on here so keep your eyes peeled!
Purchases:
None this week so far!! Aren't I good!
Had a bit of a shopping spree over xmas period (mostly for others!) and as you know I also received some fab gifts - so no makeup or clothes shopping for me just yet! Trying to save some pennies :D

And Finally, Favourite look at the moment:
The sirens in Tron Legacy - this one in particular. Defo going to be trying to recreate this.
I feel a fancy dress outfit coming on...
