So my darlings I promised you that I would fill you in on any relevant birthday gifts that I received and thought that given it's two weeks since I better get on with it!
So first in the series is the Lancome Visionnaire skin care.
I'll be honest, I hadn't actually heard of this one, but I thought that it was very fitting that I should receive the same on my 26th birthday as it aims to reduce signs of ageing, wrinkles and ages spots. Ah, ageing. That horrendous thing we all seek to avoid.
I should mention that this is the sample sized version - I got a lot of lancome gifts (I know I am so lucky and even luckier that my amazing Dad chose them all) and this came with.
It was one of the first things that I tried though because I love their skin care generally but only get to use it after my birthday or xmas because I don't tend to purchase it for myself these days.
Anyway, I digress. So, what does it do?
Apparently this... Visionnaire is the 1st skincare with LR 2412, a molecule designed to penetrate throughout all the layers of the skin`s epidermis, triggering a range of micro transformations. With Visionnaire, wrinkles appear visibly reduced, pores look minimised and imperfections such as uneven skin tone appear more even, as if corrected.
Literally, I have no idea what LR 2412 is. I hope that doesn't make me a totally ignorant beauty blogger, but I'll be honest - I don't get much chance to research into these things these days! What I am interested in though is the effects it is supposed to produce.
And it works.
I know this because I only started searching for all the jazz about what it is supposed to do after I noticed what an amazing effect it had had on my skin. In particular I am talking pores. Reduced pores on the cheeks and nose - which is something I can never normally achieve.
I am a very happy bunny.
The product is a pearly iridescent super lightweight cream. It doesn't really seem to leave a sheen on the skin though.
I did find out that I had been using it wrong though - whoops! It is meant to be for evening use but I was using it alone under my makeup!! To be quite honest, I won't be stopping that. I know it isn't what they intended but it works wonders for my skin and makeup application so I'm keeping it up!
I would definitely recommend this although it is somewhat pricey I must say at £58!! I would say try and pick up a sample with your next Lancome purchase and go from there!
i'd love to try lancome products! i am all for bargains, but when it comes to skin care, i think the expensive ones are totally worth it. :)
