So I wanted to give a lighter colour a go on my hair because usually I look a bit goth-like when I use dark browns.

I had a search in my local supermarket, which if I'm honest did not have that much choice, particularly because I was looking for a semi permanent on the advice of my hair dresser.

In the end I chose Clairol's Nice N Easy Dye in Medium Golden Brown and here is what it looked like...

(sorry it's another picture from the weekend. I had planned on posting this the same day I posted my FOTD trying MAC Paint Pot in Indian wood)

In terms of application this product was easy to apply. You simply mix two liquid together until they are blended and you are good to go! The gloves are RUBBISH though so I ended up using some latex ones I already had.

So what do I think?
Well it didn't dry my hair which is a result but the colour didn't do that much to my existing hair colour other than give it high shine. Having said that I didn't want loads of colour which is why I went for a shade that would warm my hair up and make it glossy. Which worked and was a bargain at £3.99!

Any of you got any hair dyes you swear by??

So remember last month when I was lusting after Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and Mila Kunis? Well this month is a music inspired makeup envy post...

First up J.Lo and On the Floor video look, who by the way I absolutely LOVE and have done for like all of time haha! Seriously I am talking movies and albums - I just think she is so stunning and still looks as good now as she did when she she did if you had my love.
I actually want to go and recreate this look now, only I know that because I am not J.Lo I would look ridiculous! Shame.

Next is the ever more popular Nicky Minaj. This look is from the slightly boing yet seriously catch Moment 4 Life track. I am yet to love her music (although Monster with Kanye is a heavy track!) but I definitely love her style - I just keep seeing her with yellow hair, pink hair, blue hair and pulling off every look.
So. Wish. I. Could. Get. Away.With. This.

And finally, yes Rihanna is back for a second month! haha. With the soooooooo controversial S&M video/track. Honestly! There are plently worse videos out there! Love this (she says whilst searching lipstick drawer for all red lippies!)

Can I look like these girlies now please!

P.S I want Rihanna's tattoo sooooooooo bad!
Ok so here's what my beauty essentials looked like last year... Some of you loved this post and agreed that this was a reasonable amount and some of you (I couldn't believe) said that this may be somewhat excessive.

This year I really do need your help.

I have booked a holiday to Dublin, well more of a city break - only staying for a couple of nights. But during this period I will need to look nice, wash and dry my hair in addition to heading out in the evenings (meaning more makeup). Of course this also means makeup removal. Which leads me to my problem - I am taking hand luggage only! ARGH! Yes, the boyf talked me into it.

So ladies here are my questions:-
1. What can I actually bring in my hand luggage these days in terms of liquids??
2. If I pack mineral makeup, eyeshadows, lipsticks etc - are these classed as prohibited items!?

As you can see I literally have no clue - please help!!

I don't know about any of you ladies but I'm constantly trying to achieve that perfect flawless skin look. It's tricky because I love how sheer products even out my skin tone but hate that they don't cover my blemishes. Then, often heavier products are just too heavy. That said a good moisturiser or primer can work wonders and I am currently loving Maybelline's primer. What I am currently really liking is to mix foundations. Well layering actually, which provides the below result.   Here I firstly applied MAC studio fix liquid in NC30 with my cosmopolitan makeup sponge (damp). Then I applied Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Ivory Beige with the sponge. The result was perfectly blended flawless makeup, which lasted all day and all night. I'm talking HOURS. For those of you that like a sheer foundation - this would probably feel too heavy - but it is definitely perfect for a night out! Any of you use the same technique??

Some of you may remember from my IMATs post that I picked up a few makeup boxes from NYX. One of them was the Winter in Moscow Set which includes eyeshadows, blush and lipcolours.

This set, along with the other NYX sets are perfect for travelling with the fab range of colours that are fantastically pigmented and convenient packaging (which includes an essential mirror).

As the weather is warming up, my natural inclination is to move towards bronze toned makeup. However this morning I wanted to have a quick go with some of the colours in this set to see what they would look like on me.

Due to my USELESS camera it was very hard to capture the smokey effect I had managed to create with some of the colours, I still took a few shots for you all to have a peek at though so you get the gist of the looks you can create!

What I would say is that the colours are slightly darker in person and are great for creating that really smokey wide eyed look.

I would definitely recommend this palette - particularly if you are going away and know you want to bring some heavier eyeshadows to create a more dramatic evening look. The set is £19.95 and can be purchased from the NYX website here.

Gosh it's a while since I have used these bad boys! Well not these precise ones but extensions in general. Found a fresh pack that I had saved in the back of my wardrobe the other day - I was very excited!

They are Dream Girl 100% Human Hair Extensions, shade 4.

I'll be honest - the pics above are just of me messing around with them. They are just draped around my shoulders. However, I think I will sew them up, sew on some clips and keep them in reserve for nights out. I'd love to wear them daily - but I just find them too high maintenance. Plus I feel a little too done up. This is simply because EVERYONE knows my hair isn't this long.

When I did used to wear them in the day though everyone would always comment on how nice my hair was. I'd always reply by saying "it's not real" haha - I always have to tell people I am faking it.

Anyway I know it was very fiddly when I first made my first set of extensions all those years ago, so I wondered if any of you fancy me posting a step by step guide of how to sew on the clips etc for extensions and how I apply??

Any of you girlies already wear extensions? Daily, or night's out?????

Hey everyone... it feels like its been ages! Finding it pretty hard to post at the moment as life is pretty hectic - I suppose it just gets like that sometimes and something has to give!

Anyway as always when I return from a brief absence I would like to say thank you to all those that stick around and "hello" to my new followers!!! Welcome.

So while I had a quick 5 minutes I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the much blogged about Chanel Vitalumier Foundation after trying it yesterday.

So in order to keep things short and sweet - here is what it looked like...

The shade that I tried was B20 Beige - it was a sample and was a little light for me (I am NC30 in MAC Foundation just for context). The coverage however was to die for.

My skin looked divine. It was looked very smooth and even. I was very impressed and would definitely recommend this. It provides the perfect coverage - I would say medium to full (I found it to be buildable).

The only downside was that it did not last as long as I would have liked - but I did not use a primer or powder so there is the possiblity it has the potential to last longer. Even with that I will definitely purchase this when I have finished some of my other foundations!!
