Hey lovelies! Hope you are all well!?
I've had a very busy week this week so please excuse the lack of posts.
Also I'm trying to get used to wearing my hair natural again - what do you think?
The plan is no heat and straightening (apart from fringe) with the aim of it growing!
Fingers crossed the lack of heat will help with me obtaining luscious locks!

So, what does it do?
According to Maybelline this.. smooths over skin for a retexurised feel and a poreless look
So what did I experience? Pretty much the above. I mean, don't get me wrong - it's not a miracle product - my pores didn't just disappear but they were visibly reduced as were the lines in my forehead. Result.
Here it is with MAC studio fix fluid.
I have also tried it with MUFE HD and L'oreal Studio Secrets - all with good results. I have filmed a video with Studio Secrets over the primer which you can view here. I just didn't want to spend all weekend taking picures (however if you would like me to show you pics of these too just comment below)
The downside to this product was that it doesn't do anything to improve the longevity of your makeup. However, in all fairness, it doesn't claim to. That is just something extra I want from my primers.
That little glitch would not stop me from recommending it though. It retails at £7.99 in Superdrug at present and is normally £9.99. For that price I think it is a gem. It does provide a smoother base to apply my makeup allowing for smoother application. My makeup glides onto my skin better so that is good.
Overall? Good product at a good price - definitely worth a try!

I think it's only right that I start this post by stating when I think of Georgio Armani makeup doesn't immediately spring to mind.
I mean I think of jeans and the Armani She fragrance (which I never grow tired of).
However recently I've read about a couple of their products which are influencing my view on the brand.
Firstly, the spring 2011 collection it pretty stunning. Whilst I'm seeing lots of brights about at the moment Armani seem to w focusing more on deep rich colours, reminding me of the rainforest. Love.
Perfect for summer holidays and nights out. I'd wear with a bit of Vaseline on top and lots I'd dark liner, nude lips and bronzedness.
Secondly, the strongly named Eyes To Kill Excess Mascara. Eyes to kill!? Perhaps that's a little extreme but I get the point... I think I would have liked Eyes To Thrill more haha - a bit less violent sounding.
That said - she looks pretty evil there haha!
Joking aside though, I'm always trying to find a decent mascara so I will definitely be checking this out anyway. However whilst it looks good - all mascaras do these days due to false lashes, airbrushing and general enhancing that you see on all adverts these days!
Any of you had experience of these products?

I received this lovely little bundle from Montagne Jeunesse in the post recently. I felt very spoilt! I love a good lipbalm and immediately popped it open!
And very happy with it I was too. It smells delish! Very fruity. The scent is cranberry and Aloe Vera.
In terms of moisturising it's great. Very similar to the chap stick that I am currently using which is the best lipbalm for moisturising my lips without making them lipbalm dependent in this wintery weather. I had a quick peek on their website and noticed that you can buy lipbalms for cracked, sore, healing and weather screen protection all for £3.05. Bargain and varied!! I like it!
You can purchase here ladies.

So I have a seriously bad relationship with my undereyes. It's not that I don't try, it's just well no matter what I do they always seem to remain shadowed.
Well not always... I've found a couple of products that assist me (providing that is that I have been getting some sleep and have ample amount of time for precise makeup application).
The Illamasqua Under-eye Concealer is one of these. I first bought this about 12 - 18months ago when chatting to the utterly divine MUA at the Manchester Trafford centre. I reckon you will know which one I mean if you've ever been there. She looks like a princess!
Anyway, I digress.
So the Under-eye Concealer, yes. It retails at £13.00 which I think is pretty reasonable for a premium makeup brand.
Now what I like about this Concealer is it's coverage. It's not sheer, in fact it's quite heavy, but provided you use an appropriate base it will go on like a dream. Then dust a little powder on top and you're ready to go!
I initially used to use this with Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat on top, however I found that sometimes it would end up making me look a bit too bright around the eyes. So when I recently rediscovered it I did so by applying Bobbi Brown's corrector in Bisque underneath. This leaves me with a brighter under-eye without it highlighting the dark circles, which happens pretty easily when your undereyes are like mine!
Overall I think this is a fabulous product and certainly recommend it as it works better than and is much cheaper than some of the more expensive brands out there!

Hey Ladies,
I wanted to create another Valentines possible look for you girlies, whilst also showing you a look from using the NYX Makeup Box Palette only. (Aside from foundation obviously - which was MUFE Face and Body with HD over the top)
So here is the look I created from it...
I thought this look was a pretty one for Valentine's day as its super warming and pretty and romantic. It's an alternative to pinks! (Although I look those too!)
The box looks like what you see below and I used colours on the right - first column 2nd one down and 2nd column 3rd one down.
I also used the bronzer and blush from this set and black to line my eyes. This picture doesn't show to the best extent how pigmented the colours are. I absolutely love this palette because you can create so many looks with it. And it's perfect for looks on the go! It's just less than £20 and can be purchased here. Check out my youtube channel for my video (which at the time of posting has 3 mins left to upload!) on this look to see what they look like in natural light. xxx

So I have been using this powder for a while now but unfortunately my previous one did that annoying breaking thing, you know, where it ends up in bits in the tin. Joy. So I had to purchase another one
I buy shade Transparent 001 because all the others look orange on my skin (even though I'm not all that pale!). This goes on really light though so it just provides you with a smoothing mattifying effect. All good for £3.99!
What I would say is that this product works better with good brushes. When I used to use cheaper (not so soft ones) it would look a bit too heavy as it would not apply evenly. However now that I have my amazing powder brush from my Academy of Pro Makeup it goes on like a dream and this is what it looks like...
£3.99 well spent! (MAC Studio Fix Fluid on underneath powder).
I'd say well worth a look at if you are looking for a decent drug store powder!

Gosh I seriously have an infatuation with Bobbi Brown Products. I mean, I love lots of brands but nothing quite has the same effect on me as BB's colours. I've said it before and I will say it again - they are just the perfect colours for making the most of your features - rich without being too OTT. Perfect for any day or evening look.
So naturally I was excited to see this beautiful array of lippies.
The video on YouTube introducing these rightly states that Lipstick is a way to change any woman's look. So have a look here to see what colour will suit you and your personality!!
I will be going for some light and deep shades I think! P.S - they retail for £16.00

I spotted these the other day when searching for eyeshadow kits and had to share with you.
I think they are a fabulous idea although I have no idea if they work as well as described - has anyone tried them??
They retail at around $30 for two applications, but I cannot find delivery details to the UK on their website - so I am guessing they ship to the US only! I might have a search on ebay - it would certainly speed up my makeup for night's out!

After last year's buzz surrounding Gaga and Viva Glam I am not surprised MAC are doing a second one with her.
But wait, no! What happened to last years divine marketing pictures and the pretty pink lippie!? I mean I know of course they aren't going to do the same colour, otherwise there would be no point brining out a Gaga II. That said, this colour just does not provide me with the same excitement at all. And I am really not keen on this whole look Gaga is rocking. I mean I love Gaga as much as the next person but seriously, the phrase "Dead behind the eyes" springs to mind! I much preferred the pretty, girlie, frolicking in pink look of last year...
What about you? Do you love it or do you feel a little indifferent towards it like me?? I don't know if it's just because I loved last years so much or whether this really is a bit too bland.
I don't know, maybe I will have a nosey at some point, but I think this year I will be waiting to see it on some other bloggers first...

Lusting after Celebrity Looks...
Reading a book that actually stimulates my mind and takes more than a few train journeys to complete... (I had got a little too hooked on vampire books!)
Clearing out unwanted "stuff"... Thinking of doing a blog sale but not sure whether to or not as a lot of it is clothing!
What have you been doing??
I was very excited last week when I managed to pick up my unknown parcel delivery and found this beauty!!
I had heard about this fabulous perfume ring and really wanted to get my hands on one so that when I am on nights out I can keep topping up my perfume hehe!
Anyway, my wish came true and I put it on straight away. Here's what it looks like on...
It's so pretty! The ring itself is adjustable so that's always good if you have slim fingers like me!
Also THE MOST IMPORTANT PART - it smells DIVINE! You have to smell it as you will love it too!!!
Juicy say the ring is for girls on the go! You can slip it around your finger for at-whim perfume touchups! Yes please!!!
It's available now ladies at the following stores:-
Boots
Debenhams
Harrods
House of Fraser
John Lewis
Selfridges
The Perfume Shop
The Fragrance Shop
It retails for £35 and is Limited Edition so pick yourself up one now!! (Or better yet - ask the boyf to get you one for Valentines Day!)

I have lots of mascaras in my makeup drawer. I mean a SHEDload. And this is one of them.
Most of us love a good MAC product but I never really notice their mascaras when I head to a store (I am too busy swatching all the fabulous lippies!).
Anyway, I received this as part of a gift at Christmas and I have been meaning to review it since then. It retails for £13.50 normally.
MAC says that this instant volume mascara power-lifts the lashes into length, curls them up...builds them faster than you can wink!
My personal experience with the product left me feeling a little cold. This mascara is OK. For the price it delivers enough length to keep me happy, but I wouldn't look to repurchase. My problem is that it just doesn't wow me. I have other mascaras that make my lashes look fuller as well as long and this mascara just provides me with some length.
Overall I still think it is a reasonable product for the price, but if you are a bit lacking in the eyelashes department like me you will probably want fuller lashes and therefore a mascara with a little more oomph!

As you know last week I attended London IMATs at Alexandra Palace.
It was a great experience from start to finish, but I definitely found it very tiring.
I travelled down with L from beautifullyaddictedto and we got there for 9.30am. We quickly got our wristbands and headed through the stalls to the room showing the YouTube Gurus talk/question and answer.
We listened to hints and tips about makeup and blogging and then we were off to go shopping! Sensible as we are we decided that we would do a complete tour of the stalls and then decide where we wanted to head back to to make our purchases (with the exception of the NYX stall where we just bought what we wanted there and then!)
There was such a variety of stalls including makeup stalls such as NYX, Illamasqua, MUFE, MAC, Inglot etc. I also noticed quite a few brush stalls and then there appeared to be a lot of prosthetics and body art type stalls also.
The atmosphere was slightly chaotic and I distinctly remember standing at CrownBrush and Inglot for quite a period of time just to try and see the products. After a while I gave up. There is only so long I will wait to look at some makeup and brushes!
Overall the day was a success although I didn't actually take any pictures that are are really worth putting up on the blog - it was just too busy.
You can see my purchases below though so you get an indication of what what there for the average beauty obsessed girlie! You can also see them on my IMATs Video here.
The Valentine's Day Look I created earlier on in the week was done using the MUFE and some of the NYX products. They will definitely be featuring on some future blog posts!

So I have finally had chance to have a look through all of the leaflets I picked up this time last week at the show that was IMATs.
Amongst all the makeup schools, makeup looks, training courses and makeup brushes I spotted within Sleek's info they are launching two new palettes. Always exciting!
One of them is called I-Divine Paraguaya (RRP £6.49) and is filled with warm browns and cool corals. (My perfect colours!) This will be in stores from 16 March 2011 for a limited time only. You will note below that the range also includes Pout Polish in Sugar May (RRP £4.29) and Blush Pan Too (RRP £4.29), which by the way is called The Avoir la Peche Collection.
However, I am more excited this time (and I think you should be too) about the I-Divine Primer Palette (RRP £6.99) which will be in stores VERY soon, 16 February 2011 to be precise!
The colours are designed to match all shades from your makeup bag to create a perfect base and intensify your eye makeup. Eeeeeeeeeeek!
I think that the product looks fantastic and I think it is fantastically innovative. I don't know about you but I will be straight there picking it up at the time of launch!
